Re: "Battlefield Heroes" Debut trailer
I lost interest in playing online shooters a while back, mainly because of "getting shot in the face repeatedly by a swearing, ultra-skilled 15 year old boy who plays the game every day for 8 hours." :cens: But this looks like it puts the fun back into playing, and I think I'll be giving t...

Re: Oblivion vs Crysis
what do you think about Spellforce 1/Spellforce 2 I thoroughly enjoyed Spellforce 1 and 2,and the expansions, but they aren't to everyone's taste. They're a mixture of RPG and RTS, and this tends to feel strange to some people. They use RPG party, levelling, equipment and plot style, and from the R...

Re: Two great second halves
If you like Samurai movies, I suggest you try and find the ones directed by Akira Kurosawa, they are classics, the 7 Samurai was remade by the Americans as "The Magnificent Seven" and turned into a Western movie.

The control centre can disable one of the GPU's as if it were two separate cards on Crossfire?
I hadn't realised that, I told you I was unfamiliar with this card.![Embarrassed ](./images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)

Re: Why advantage of SLI, Crossfire, multiChrome is questionable
3870X2 I've already had to deal with someone having problems with this card in the Ubi Settlers 6 forum. :( The game isn't happy with SLI or Crossfire, and gives graphical glitches, the normal solution is to disable one card, and now it seems the 3870X2 has the same problem, but not being familiar ...

Oh... I'm a pack rat, I got the boxes for most of the games also. And almost every PC Gamer magazine since late 1994... And yes, I don't have much of a real life... :vlol: Welcome to the club, I can't move for old magazines (going back to the Commodore 64) :geek: My spare room looks like a computer...

You'll find the full version is a lot better, and now, if you need help with anything with phbb, there are lots of people you can ask.

Re: Why advantage of SLI, Crossfire, multiChrome is questionable
I feel exactly the same way about it, I don't mind dropping a few fps for a smoother and more immersive experience in a game. Plus, a lot of games can give problems with dual cards, and as often the only way to fix things is to disable one of the cards, it makes spending the money on a SLI or Crossf...

It looks ok for the free version, pity you run this one, I told Oakie I might be able to help with the look of things, but that was before I realised which version you were running. Over at Max, we use either the full version of phbb, or E107, depending on the site. But, for a purely tech help site,...
